We came as ESL students, we went to school for 6 months and now we are working and deciding what our next step should be. I have NO IDEA of what I want to do my life, at all...

Español: ¡Feliz Año Nuevo mis queridos viajeros! Hace 7 meses nos mudamos a Vancouver, Canadá. Y déjenme decirles, que ha sido una experiencia interesante. Vinimos como estudiantes de inglés, estuvimos en la escuela por 6 meses y ahora estamos trabajando y decidiendo qué vamos a hacer con nuestras vidas, porque la verdad es que no tengo ni la más remota idea de qué quiero hacer...

English: As far as experiences go... This is my first time EVER living in a place with seasons, because in Venezuela it's pretty much summer all year round -which is AMAZING-. We got here in summer and it was beautiful, the city is full of life and we always had somewhere to go or things to do. Now that winter is here, not so much. We pretty much stay home all day.

I've met so many people, from so many different places. That, has been... well, overwhelming hahaha. Let me begin by saying that we, people from Latin America -Venezuela, especially-, are really really REALLY touchy and hugging and loving... We kiss and hug, almost every single time we see each other and it's completely normal. Don't you ever think of doing that with someone from China or Japan or Korea... You, my friend, will get the stink eye.

Funny story: we have a friend from Japan, that we say he's not japanese at all... He's always saying that he wants to learn Spanish and he wants to go to Venezuela because he likes to hug and kiss people and he loves the way we are... He's super cute. He's the only one that comes to you and kiss you everytime he says hi

The food, OMG, the food... I haven't eaten anything that's left me 'wowed', and come on, this is SUPPOSEDLY the city that all foodies love. Maybe is that you have to spend a lot of money to enjoy a really amazing meal, but I don't know... The food here, in my personal opinion, it's been whatever.

For now, those are the only things I can say about this city. I'll definetly keep you posted...

Español: En cuanto a experiencias vividas... Esta es mi primera vez viviendo en un país con estaciones marcadas, porque en Venezuela es verano prácticamente todo el año, que es lo máximo. Llegamos en verano y la ciudad era preciosa, llena de vida y siempre teníamos algo que hacer o algún lugar a donde ir. Ahora en invierno, no mucho. Nos quedamos en casa casi todo el día.

He conocido a demasiada gente, de distintos lugares. Eso ha sido... bueno, interesante también jajaja. Voy a empezar diciendo que nosotros, los latinos, especialmente los venezolanos, somos DEMASIADO exageradamente tocones y besucones. Cada vez que vemos a alguien, no importa cuánto tiempo hay pasado desde la última vez que vimos a esa persona, le damos un beso y/o un abrazo; y para nosotros, es completamente normal. Ni se les ocurra hacer eso con alguien de China o Japón o Corea... Primero muertos, antes que le den un beso o los toquen.

Tenemos un amigo japonés, que nosotros decimos que no es. Siempre nos dice que quiere aprender español y que quiere ir Venezuela porque le encanta como somos. Es muy lindo. Es el único que viene y te da un beso cada vez que te saluda.

En cuanto a la comida... No se ni qué decir. No he comido nada que me haya sorprendido, y se supone que esta es la ciudad que todos los foodies aman. Quizás es porque tienes que gastar mucho dinero en una comida super rica. La comida, en mi humilde opinión, es cualquier cosa.

Por ahora, es lo único que puedo decir de esta ciudad. Definitivamente, los mantendré informados...
