Fraser Island

English: We did our one day tour to Fraser Island with Fraser Explorer Tours. They picked us up at Pippies and after that we took a "ferry" to cross to Fraser. You can also take this tour from Hervey Bay, but the distance from Rainbow Beach is less. We started our day at the Wanggoolba Creek and I don't know what to tell you about this, besides that it's a creek. The tour guide smelled and besides that you couldn't understand a word of what he was saying, so we ignored him.

Español: El tour a Fraser Island lo hicimos con Fraser Explorer Tours. Nos buscaron tempranito en Pippies y de ahí fuimos a agarrar nuestro "ferry" para cruzar hacia Fraser. Desde Hervey Bay también salen estos tours, pero desde el Rainbow Beach la distancia en ferry es menor. Empezamos el día con un camino por Wanggoolba Creek y no les puedo decir nada sobre esto porque el guía -además que olía mal- hablaba para adentro y no se le entendía absolutamente nada de lo que decía, así que nosotros optamos por ignorarlo todo el camino.

English: After that, we went to Lake McKenzie to relax and take pictures. As you can see, the weather was not good, so we didn't got into the water. After that, we went to have some lunch at the Eurong Beach Resort.

Español: De ahí fuimos a Lake McKenzie, donde nos relajamos y tomamos fotos. No nos metimos al agua porque como pueden ver, el día estaba un poco feo. De ahí fuimos a comer al Eurong Beach Resort, donde tenían un buffet.

English: We went to the Maheno Shipwreck through the 75 Mile Beach Drive. On our way there we saw some wild dingos and an echidna -so cute-.

Español: Al terminar de comer, nos llevaron hacia el Maheno Shipwreck por el 75 Mile Beach Drive -el nombre que se le da a la playa-. En el camino vimos dingos salvajes y también vimos una equidna -demasiada hermosa-.

English: We continued our way through the 75 Mile Beach drive and got to The Pinnacles, which are mountains made out of coloured sands.

Español: Después seguimos por el 75 Mile Beach drive y llegamos a The Pinnacles, que son montañas de arenas de distintos colores que se han ido acumulando a lo largo del tiempo.

English: And our way back started, we also stopped at Eli Creek, it looks a lot like Wanggoolba Creek but it's near the beach and you can swin or float all the way down to the beach.

Español: De ahí empezó el camino de regreso y nos paramos en Eli Creek, que se parece mucho a Wanggoolba Creek, pero está más cerca de la playa, además acá te puedes bañar y bajar hasta la playa por la quebradita.

English: Since we got to Rainbow Beach a little bit earlier than expected we walked around Rainbow Beach.

Español: Como el regreso fue relativamente temprano, aprovechamos para caminar por la playa de Rainbow Beach.

English: And that was it. Next day we packed our stuff and went to Brisbane and on our way there we stopped at Australia Zoo! You'll see more about it on the next post.
