English: So, a lot's been going on in my life right now and I couldn't find inspiration to write this post until now -I'm a lousy blogger, I know-. That been said, I'm gonna start with what you guys are interested in... So, Melbourne... What did we do in the coldest city of Australia? We got there at night, so the first day we didn't do much. The first actual day, we went to the Visitor Centre that's at Federation Square to pick up some brochures and maps.

English: To get to Federation Square you have to stop at one of the most important stations of Melbourne: Flinders Street Station -which s the one from the photo above- and this station it's where every person in Melbourne meet, specifically "under the clocks". After we wandered around and made plans, we decided to go to the Ian Potter Centre and this is like an extension of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) where they only have australian art. it's not just the art that makes this building amazing, but the architecture. And I think we were too amazed to even take pictures. It's definetly a MUST go if you're going to Melbourne.
Español: Para llegar a Federation Square tienes que bajarte en una de las estaciones más importantes de Melbourne: Flinders Street Station -que es la foto que ven arriba- y esta estación es como el punto de encuentro de todas las personas que viven en Melbourne, específicamente "debajo de los relojes". Después de caminar un rato por ahí y "planear" un poco nuestro día, decidimos ir al Ian Potter Centre y esto es como una "extensión" de la National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) donde tienen solamente arte australiano. No es solamente el arte lo que hace este edificio espectacular, sino la arquitectura. Y creo que estábamos tan embobados con todo que se nos olvidó tomar fotos. Definitivamente es un MUST si van a Melbourne.
English: After that, we grabbed the City Circle Tram -which is a free service for tourists, that goes around Melbourne's CBD- to go to one of my favorites places in the world: the Melbourne Aquarium. As you may know by now, I'm a biologist and I love that. Not that I love that they're keeping them captive, but it seems that here it's for a "good cause", apparently there's a lot of research studies going on. The thing is I was amazed by all the specimens they have, specially with the penguins. Aren't they the cutest thing in the whole world?
Español: Después de ahí, agarramos el City Circle Tram -que es un servicio gratis para los turistas, que va alrededor del CBD de Melbourne- para ir a uno de mis lugares favoritos en el mundo: el Melbourne Aquarium. Como saben, soy bióloga y eso me encanta. No me encanta que los tengan en cautiverio, pero al parecer aquí es por una "buena causa". El punto es que estaba encantada con todos los ejemplares que tienen, especialmente con los pingüinos ¿No son lo más hermoso de este mundo?

English: After that, since it was early and there was still light, we went to an alley -that's in front of the Ian Potter Centre- where it's all about graffittis. Honestly, i'm not a big fan of street art, but Rick is and Melbourne is full of alleys that are filled with graffittis. I'm gonna let the photos speak for themselves.
Español: Al salir de ahí, como era temprano y aún había luz, aprovechamos para ir por un callejón -que está en frente del Ian Potter Centre- donde abundan los graffittis. La verdad es que yo no soy muy amante del street art, pero Rick lo ama y Melbourne está lleno de eso. Voy a dejar que las fotos hablen por sí solas.
