English: Everything was going smoothly until now, so it was just a matter of time for something to go wrong -Murphy's always with us-. We got up early to take our flight to Alice Springs, but that didn't happen because we got late to the airport and we lost the flight… Since it was a week day and the flights weren't full, they managed to put us on the next flight, we didn't had to pay anything but probably our bags wouldn't make it because the conection time was really short. We almost had a heart attack because we had already booked the tour for the next day. Even so, we got on the plane to Alice Springs and beg for our bags to get there with us.
Español: Todo había sido muy perfecto hasta ahora, así que algo tenía que salir mal -Murphy nunca nos deja solos-. Nos levantamos temprano para tomar nuestro vuelo a Alice Springs, cosa que no pasó porque llegamos tarde y lo perdimos… Menos mal que era día de semana y los vuelos no estaban full, así que nos lograron meter en el próximo vuelo a Alice Springs, no tuvimos que pagar nada de dinero pero corríamos con la suerte de que nuestros bolsos no llegaran porque el tiempo de conexión era muy corto. Cuando nos dijeron eso, casi nos da un infarto porque ya habíamos reservado el tour para el día siguiente. Pero bueno, igual nos montamos en el avión y nos fuimos a Alice Springs, rogando durante todo el vuelo que nuestros bolsos llegaran.

English: We got there and so did our bags -thank you Qantas for being incredibly efficient-, now we had to figure out how we were going to get to the hostel, because we couldn't book online and if you don't have a booking you can't use the shuttle service for free. So we called Toddy's Backpackers to explain our situation and they told us to go there without a problema. Have I told that aussies are really really nice?
We got there, paid, settle and went to The Rock Tour office so they can give us the details of what we were going to do and what we have to bring. We went back to the hostel to have everything ready for the next day. And this is where it all started... We got up super early in the morning, left our bags in the storage room, had our complimentary breakfast and boarded Fitzy's van -best tour guide EVER, seriously-.
First stop: Kings Canyon. Here we just walked and marvel with every view, everything is SO amazing. And there's a story behind every single thing you find there. I think there are 3 tracks you can do, each with a different difficulty level. I think we did, the 3 hour walk or something like that... It's a LONG walk but it's really worth it.
After that, we stopped to get some wood for our campfire, where we did an AWESOME dinner, had a lot of fun and slept for our next day.

Español: Llegamos nosotros y nuestros bolsos -gracias Qantas por ser inmensamente eficiente-, ahora teníamos que ver cómo nos íbamos al hostel, porque no habíamos logrado reservar por internet y pues si no tienes reserva no puedes usar el servicio gratuito del aeropuerto. Así que llamamos a Toddy's Backpackers para explicarles nuestra situación y nos dijeron que nos fuéramos para allá sin ningún problema ¿Ya les había dicho que los australianos son excesivamente simpáticos?
Al llegar, pagamos, nos instalamos y nos fuimos a la oficina de The Rock Tour para que nos dieran los detalles de lo que íbamos a hacer y lo que teníamos que llevar. Nos regresamos al hostel para arreglar nuestras cosas para el día siguiente. Aquí fue donde empezó... Nos levantamos muy temprano, dejamos nuestros bolsos en el "depósito" del hostal, desayunamos y nos embarcamos en la van de Fitzy -el mejor guía turísitico del mundo-.
Primera parada: Kings Canyon. Aquí lo que hicimos fue caminar y maravillarnos con la naturaleza, todo es BRUTAL. Y hay una historia detrás de cada cosa que ves. Creo que hay 3 trayectos que puedes hacer, cada uno con un nivel de dificultad diferente. Nosotros hicimos el de 3 horas... Es una caminata realmente larga pero vale la pena, se los juro.
Después de eso, paramos para agarrar madera para hacer una fogata, donde hicimos una cena BRUTAL, nos divertimos demasiado y dormimos para reparar energías para el día siguiente.
