English: We got up super early, pick up the stuff of the camping site and went to another place to take a shower -we really needed that, LOL-. After we took a shower, we went on a guided walk through the Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta -pronounced Kata Joota-, where Fitzy explained us a bunch of awesome stuff. It was really educative and relaxing -even though we walked a lot-.
Español: Al día siguiente nos levantamos temprano, recogimos el campamento y fuimos a otro lugar para bañarnos -realmente, lo necesitábamos jajaja-. Después de bañarnos, fuimos a dar un paseo guiado por el Valle de Los Vientos (Valley of the Winds) en Kata Tjuta -que se pronuncia Kata Yuta-, donde Fitzy nos explicó un sin fin de cosas impresionantes. Fue bastante educativo y relajante -aunque caminamos muchísimo-.
English: When we got to the place that's in the photo, Fitzy left us so we can end the walk on our own. You can't imagine how awesome the landscape is and how relaxing, I swear, even if you are a really lazy person and you don't like to walk you're going to enjoy it a lot. When we finished the walk, we went to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn a little bit more about the Anangu people and the Tjukurpa -the foundation of Anangu's culture- and their stories.
After we spent a looong time on the cultural centre, we went to see the most expected part of the whole trip: the sunset over Uluru. The sunset was amazing, we shared some time with other group of the Rock Tour -tour guide was as crazy as Fitzy, and was really cool too-. We took a bunch of pictures, had a lot of fun and Fitzy made an amazing dinner.
Español: Cuando llegamos al lugar que ven en la foto, Fitzy nos dejó para que termináramos de hacer el recorrido por nuestra cuenta. No se imaginan lo impresionante que es el paisaje y lo relajante que es, se los juro que así sean personas super flojas y les de flojera -o no les guste- caminar lo van a disfrutar muchísimo. Al terminar el recorrido fuimos al Aboriginal Cultural Centre a aprender un poco más sobre la comunidad Anangu y sobre el Tjukurpa -la cultura de los Anangu- y sus historias.

Después de pasar un rato largo en el centro cultural, nos fuimos a ver lo que habíamos esperado durante todo el viaje: el atardecer en Uluru. Ver el atardecer fue genial, compartimos con otro grupo de The Rock Tour -el guía de este otro grupo también era genial-. Nos tomamos un montón de fotos, nos divertimos demasiado y Fitzy nos preparó una cena brutal.
English: From there, we went back to the campsite where we talk a while and did a walk to get away a little bit of all the lights so we could see the stars. I never ever have seen the sky so starry, it was really amazing and magical.
The next day, we got super early -again- to the sunrise over Uluru. I have to be honest, this was the worst part of the tour. It was about 7 ºC and we were freezing! I didn't enjoy it at all, because I was running around to stay warm instead of taking pictures or enjoying the sunrise. After we froze a little, we had breakfast, we did the base walk -which is walk around Uluru-. It takes around 2 hours or something like that but it's really worth it.
For the Anangu people, Uluru is something like the bible for the christians. And since it's so sacred for them, we decided not to climb the rock, and we're so proud we didn't do it. Neither us, or any of the group climbed.
Español: De ahí, regresamos al campamento donde nos acomodamos para hablar un rato e hicimos una caminata para alejarnos un poco de todas las luces para poder ver las estrellas en todo su esplendor. Creo que nunca en mi vida había visto un cielo tan estrellado, fue simplemente mágico. Que manera de terminar el día ¿no?
Al día siguiente nos levantamos temprano para ver el amanecer en Uluru. Tengo que ser sincera, esta fue lo que menos me gustó de todo el tour. Estaban haciendo 7 ºC y ¡nos estábamos congelando! Realmente no lo disfrute porque estaba más pendiente de moverme de un lado a otro para tratar de calentarme que de tomar fotos o ver Uluru. Después de congelarnos un rato y desayunar -mientras nos congelábamos-, hicimos la caminata base (base walk) -que es caminar alrededor de Uluru-. Toma alrededor de 2 horas y algo pero en el camino puedes ver la evidencia de todas las historias en las que se basa el Tjukurpa, vale la pena.
Uluru para los Anangu es como la biblia para los cristianos. Como es algo tan sagrado para ellos, pues decidimos no escalar y nos sentimos orgullosos de ello. Ni nosotros, ni ninguno de los que estaba en nuestro grupo subió.
English: We enjoyed the walk and when it ended, it was about time to return to Alice Springs. On our way back, we stopped at a camel farm where we rode racing camels. You can tell, by the picture, I was having a blast! When we got to Alice Springs, we took a shower and went to The Rock Bar where we had dinner with all the group and Fitzy, and we party until the bar closed.
And that was it for Alice Springs and Uluru. See you at the next stop.

Español: Disfrutamos de la caminata y cuando llegó a su fin pues ya era hora de regresar a Alice Springs. Pero en el camino nos paramos en una granja de camellos y ahí nos montamos en unos camellos de carreras. Como pueden ver, por la foto, me estaba muriendo de la risa. Al llegar a Alice Springs, nos bañamos, nos cambiamos y fuimos a The Rock Bar donde cenamos con Fitzy y bailamos hasta que cerraron el bar.
Y eso fue todo por Alice Springs y Uluru. Nos vemos en el próximo destino.
